Cerberus operative (Mass Effect fanart)

2012, Reupload of old work.

Mass Effect fanart challenge hosted by Polycount and sponsored by Bioware. This is a winning entry, even though I didn't really finish it, he's not rigged nor posed properly lol. Still got my prize N7 wristwatch.

Anyway, was a very cool study project, carried from start to finish mostly by myself (excluding handgun design provided by Timur Mutsaev). Solidified my workflow of quickly blocking stuff in Zbrush for later retopo/cleanup in Maya. Also tried to up my rendering game, and the only option for me back then was Mental Ray, which was so poorly implemented in Maya I lost fuckton of hours just trying to make it work.

My attempt at tranformer rifle, really liked these animated designs in original Mass Effect games.
